About this Project

The Next Generation Radio Project is a 5-day digital journalism and audio training project. Our distance learning program is designed to give competitively selected participants the opportunity to learn how to report, remotely, and produce their own non-narrated, multimedia story. Those chosen for the project are paired with a professional journalist who serves as their mentor for the week.

This project was hosted virtually and funded by University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism on Aug. 10-14, 2020.

Special thanks to our sponsors KPCC, Cal State Los Angeles, Dataminr, Texas Public Radio, and Wondery.
